The Protea Cakery

Originally from South Africa, I am a Kiwi by choice since 2006. I started my Chef training in South Africa and continued to develop my skills at Auckland’s Sky City kitchens. I enjoy expressing my creativity through delicious artworks.
I met and married my husband, Andries, in NZ and our family has blossomed and grown by two daughters. As a result we are pursuing this new adventure – a home based cakery offering cakes and South African rusks (beskuit) and sweet treats.
Andries has been mastering the art of rusks for the last 25 years and he is the brains behind our Ruskalicious Product Range.
