Doorstep Firewood was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic in Johannesburg, South Africa.

When the pandemic shut down businesses across South Africa in 2020, we decided it was the perfect time to start a new one. It was an idea we had been mulling over for years: a passion for firewood turned into a business to deliver firewood to one’s doorstep. COVID-19 was definitely the catalyst, when we saw millions lose their livelihoods and reskill.

It is though grace and resilience that we were able to entrench our footprint as a top supplier of the driest, and best quality firewood in the whole of Africa and the UK.

Doorstep Firewood sources its firewood from steady and select sustainable farms to always ensure consistency and quality product. Each bag of firewood is sourced sustainably from fallen dead trees in dry African weather conditions to ensure a low moisture reading and quality firewood supplied to happy customers.
