Rene de Lange Homeware
René was born an artist, and was drawing pictures on her Mum’s walls every time she was left unattended. She spent her entire childhood immersed in a dreamworld of collage, painting and drawing African animals. Art Club after school, turned into paper maché at weekends, and drawing for days on end.
René went on to do her MA at the Royal College of Art, and has been working as a Print Designer for companies from Debenhams, Marks and Spencer and Age of Reason for the past ten years. René wants to share a sense of that artistic raw energy that makes art so exciting and unique. René wrote her MA dissertation about the beauty of imperfection and Wabi Sabi. In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi–sabi (侘寂) is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”.
Each Art Print is signed by René, and is limited to an edition of 30.
