Coloured Cakes

Ingredients and love are intricately woven together to create that perfect cake of delightful treat for that perfect moment.

Love. Love comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. And in my case, in all flavours and colours. I’d like to think that is how our family is as well. Let me explain a little bit –

My father, a white South African Farmer, and my mother, a black South African Swati (Swaziland descent) woman, born from that love, me. A coloured South African girl.

My husband, being of caucasian ethnicity, and I have borne two beautiful green-eyed, curly blonde-haired boys and they fill our days with colour.

In the year of March 2019, we uprooted our lives and made the big move to New Zealand. Blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to my boys for the first time ever, I also have the opportunity to dwell abit deeper into my kitchen.  Thus, creations of beautiful cakes are being born from this new found love of baking.

COLOURED Cakes pretty much tells my story and the story of how cakes are woven together. By love. By mixing different types of ingredients together, you often get the most beautiful creations. Each cake is never the same. I am self-taught and love experimenting on different flavours to bring the South-African and Kiwi fusion alive. I treat each client as a friend.  Not because of work ethics and all that, but because that is how my heart is woven together. By love.
